It's been a warm spring here in NY. I don't remember it being this warm this early in the year in a long time.

We have about a million sticks laying around out property but these two have to chew on the same one. Puzzling.

The other day my daughter came home from school and told me that she was asked to sing a solo at the Spring concert. She's so excited. I always get nervous about this stuff. My stomach lurched when she told. How would I have felt at her age if someone asked me get up and sing in front of the school, by myself? I would have called in sick. When she got the part of Lady MacBeth, I was nervous about that too, but she always does great and she loves being up on stage. No shortage of confidence.

Her birthday is coming, she's graduating from elementary school this June and she's getting ready for Middle school. She's growing up so fast.

Mother's day is coming so things are busy at work for me. After that we have spring concerts, dance recitals, field trips and graduation. It's only going to get busier.

We made a trip to the double decker gourmet cupcake bus the other day. That trip NEVER gets old. Who's the smarty that thought of driving around in a double decker bus selling gourmet cupcakes? The line was all the way out the door and down the side of the bus. Genius.

I'm looking forward to the pool being open soon. Summer is right around the corner. I can almost feel it!

What are you looking forward to?

  3. I am looking forward to not going out to run an errand dressed like an eskimo with 5 layers of coats! Sounds like you are busy, busy but pool season is on it's way! Happy weekend!
